Summary
Thousands of matchbox labels were produced in Sweden during the nineteenth century and were registered as trade marks. But only some of these have stood the test of time. This chapter showcases the icons of Swedish matchbox label design, some of which remain in circulation. Labels featured in this chapter include the original Jönköping yellow matchbox label, the Three Stars brand, Svalens or the Swallow brand, and the famous Solstickan matchbox label.
