EuConst invites proposals for special issues on a rolling basis. Has your research project or conference produced a set of articles on a topic of European constitutional law, or will such a set of articles result from your project in the coming months? Please send your proposal to euconst@uva.nl.
A special issue in EuConst is a collection of articles, ultimately published in one issue, with an introduction by the guest editors. Articles are selected, thoroughly reviewed and curated by the guest editors before submission to EuConst. The EuConst editorial board organises double-blind peer review of each contribution and retains the ultimate decision on acceptance.
We offer the possibility for individual contributions to be published one-by-one as soon as they have passed the review process.
We offer the possibility for individual contributions to be published one-by-one as soon as they have passed the review process, with no need to wait for the last contribution to be accepted.
Requirements
Proposals should include an overall description of the planned special issue of approximately 3,000 words, and a full list of articles with author names, titles, and extended abstracts of around 800 words each. Proposals should clearly indicate how far the project has progressed, and include a timeline for meetings or other activities, and submission dates for each contribution.
Special issues in EuConst are usually made up of four to ten articles, with some flexibility. EuConst expects the definitive articles to be submitted in well-curated form, following thorough review by the guest editors. Proposals should set out in detail how guest editors will select, review, and edit contributions before definitive submission.
Selection
When deciding on proposals, EuConst looks for thematic fit with the scope of EuConst, clear coherence among the contributions, and the editorial quality of the proposed set. Particular attention will be paid to the measures proposed by the guest editors to ensure the quality of the contributions.
