Call for Papers
Advances in proteomic technologies enable the profiling of biological pathways in vivo at scale, creating new opportunities to link molecular variation to psychiatric symptoms, course, and treatment response. This collection aims to bring together papers that show how proteomics can strengthen psychiatric research and support clinically meaningful translation.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- proteomic biomarkers to support assessment, stratification, prognosis, treatment selection, and monitoring
- proteomic correlates of symptom dimensions, disease stage, and longitudinal trajectories, including links to cognition and functional outcomes
- integrative studies combining proteomics with other modalities (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, neuroimaging, clinical phenotypes, and electronic health records), including multi-omic and systems approaches
- analytical and computational methods for high-dimensional proteomic data, including robust feature selection, network methods, causal modelling, and reproducible pipelines
- pathways to translation, including clinical assay development, regulatory and ethical considerations, and implementation in clinical workflows
The aim is to define both the promise and the practical constraints of using proteomics to deliver clinically useful advances in psychiatry. The collection will include invited papers and unsolicited submissions.
