This Issue gives a snapshot of work in eight individual countries relating to HTA as well as two broader pieces; one on priority-setting criteria for resource allocation decisions and another on pathways, characteristics, and practices of HTA in the region. It is hoped that these examples will not only be of interest in the Asian region but also in other regions, particularly for those developing HTA processes. The Associate Editors leading this theme Issue are Dr Joseph Mathew and Denny John.
