Bocquier F and González-García E 2010. Sustainability of ruminant agriculture in the new context: feeding strategies and features of animal adaptability into the necessary holistic approach. Animal 4, 1258–1273. doi:10.1017/S1751731110001023
It has come to our notice that material from another paper, ‘Enteric fermentation and ruminant eructation: the role (and control?) of methane in the climate change debate’ published in Climatic Change (Thorpe, Reference Thorpe2009), has been reproduced in the above paper (Bocquier and González-García, Reference Bocquier and González-García2010) without adequate attribution to the author and copyright owner. Most of the duplication occurs in the ‘General overview of the current status of ruminant production at the global level’ section of the paper appearing in animal. Tables 2 and 3 also feature data that have been reproduced from the Thorpe paper.
We apologise unreservedly to the publishers of Climatic Change and to the author of the paper for this oversight. We confirm that the said material is an original work of authorship created by Andy Thorpe, and that copyright in the material concerned is vested in the publishers of Climatic Change.
