The original published version of this article, on p. 151 and again in n. 35 (p. 157), misstates the location of three surviving 1864 issues of Hitavadi. The author had received scans of these from a colleague in Chicago and consequently misidentified their physical location. They are, in fact, held by the American Antiquarian Society, Worcester, Massachusetts. The University of Chicago only provides electronic access through its subscription to Gale Cengage’s Gale Primary Sources: American Historical Periodicals from the American Antiquarian Society.
