Our awards process
Our awards process
To provide you with the simplest and most efficient awards service, we ask that you self-nominate your book for relevant awards and prizes and we will then send the books on your behalf. To support you in choosing relevant awards for your book, you can browse our comprehensive List of awards which is searchable by subject area.
Publisher only nominations
For awards that only accept publisher nominations, our editorial team will curate a list of titles that we will submit directly to the award committee. If you would like your book to be considered for an award that only accepts publisher nominations, please discuss this with your editor.

Annual Awards List
To further help you identify and plan award submissions you can browse our extensive Annual Awards List that is organised by submission month. This makes it easier to track opportunities throughout the year. Where possible, we have also included subject areas, although some awards do not fit neatly into a single category.
The list is updated bi-annually using the previous year's submission deadlines. As most deadlines remain unchanged, these dates should be a reliable guide. However, award committees occasionally move deadlines, so we recommend checking the award website well in advance of submitting your book. Any deadline changes will be reflected in the following year's list.
Academic awards calendar
To support you in choosing and organising your award choices, as well as remembering their submission deadlines, we have created a downloadable annual awards calendar template where you can add your selected awards to the appropriate month along with the submission deadline.
Top tips for organising your awards:
1. Add your awards to your regular calendar and set an alert to remind you one month before the submission deadline.
2. When selecting awards make a note of the requirements on the awards calendar template.
3. Gather any supporting documentation etc. early and save it all in a named awards folder so when the time comes to submit your book, you already have all the information you need in one place.
