Apidologie is co-owned by the French National Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) and Deutscher Imkerbund E.V. (DIB).
As the world’s leading research institute specialising in agriculture, food, and environmental sciences*, INRAE plays an important role in addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing society today.
Through research, innovation, and support for public policy, it contributes to the development of more sustainable and resilient agricultural and food systems. Its research is dedicated to advancing knowledge for the benefit of people, the planet, and future generations. INRAE also operates a range of major research infrastructures, including observatories, technical platforms, and data repositories, several of which are unique in Europe.
The institute is also internationally recognised for its contribution to scientific and technical publishing and is firmly committed to advancing the principles of open science.
The DIB is the umbrella organization for nineteen member associations. Its mission since 1907 has been to promote and expand beekeeping so that a biodiverse natural environment is preserved through the pollination of wild and cultivated plants by honeybees.
