Note on transliteration and spelling : Though I have aimed for consistency when transliterating Greek words and names, often preferring the more common Latinate versions of the latter (e.g., Achilles instead of Akhilleus), I have mostly respected the preferred spellings of my authors (so, Elektra and not Electra in discussions of Pound’s work). I have also not corrected or otherwise regularized Pound’s idiosyncratic spelling and punctuation.
